I'm well... I've been meaning to get back on Gym Rats for ages but we didn't have decent internet access at home and I’m slightly busier at work than I was back in the good old Kosovo days.

John and I live in Brooklyn and both work in NYC. I’m working at a UN-affiliated think tank. We got engaged a week and a half ago… so I’m re-dedicating myself to the gym after a period of major slackage. :)

We now have internet access at home so I'm going to try to join back in to the Gym Rats community -- but I'm at work right now so I should log off before someone sees me!

hugs all around,
V

Oh, yeah, in my excitement, I forgot to say that's one of the drawbacks of the shuffle is that I can't have different sets of music for different things.

but you can put the music in a certain order, so you can put on 30 minutes of running music and then 30 minutes of weight lifting, if that's what you plan to do at the gym.

Yeah, I just have to be able to plan ahead and I'm always changing my plans. It's not a big deal. If a song comes on that I don't want, I can just fast forward through it.

I know it's strange but Michael Jackson's old songs are really good workout songs. "Don't stop Till you Get Enough" (Is that the name of his song?)

Marc Anthony's "I Need to Know" is good. He has a remix that has a lot of energy in it.

"Boogie Fever" has a good beat

"To be Real" (I'm terrible with titles.) What you think-ah. What you feel-ah. What you know-ah. To be real!

"I will Survive"

"Car Wash"

Are any of those helpful?

I don't know how iPod works, but on my mp3 player, the songs play in whatever order you load them on, so I load the fast songs first, then the slow ones at the end for cooldown.
