I'm doing week 5 of the running program (it's hard to believe I'm on week 5 already!) and also lifting weights. I have a few clients this morning and an appointment for meso this afternoon.

Breakfast: Kashi w/milk

Snack: homemade protein bar

Lunch: chicken burrito, salad

Snack peanut butter wrap

Dinner: Oven fried chicken, broccoli

For those of you that run (or are doing the running program), I had a moment worth mentioning last Friday... I was doing the last 5 minute running segment and I think I kind of almost sort of *got* why people like to run. Maybe I got a little taste of runner's high? :)

Breakfast: bagel, cream cheese, spinach, smoked salmon
hot chocolate made with pure cocoa, Splenda, soy milk

Lunch: roasted veggies and pasta, grilled chicken
Dinner: bean vermicelli and Napa cabbage soup

I'll just say my weekend was pretty bad and I thank you all for your support.

That's worth looking forward to--runners high. With all the teaching (and again today), I'm still on week 4 but I hope to get to week 5 this week.

If you need to rant or support, we're here. Your GP appointment is soon, isn't it?

Jean,

Did you do something to your back or did it just go out?

Will do my other Pilates DVD today and see how that goes. I like the other one I got- reminds me of my old jazz warm-ups (the warm-up required a warm-up- it was intense), which is what I wanted.

Breakfast: Wes was here so, 2 eggs, 2 sausage links, ww toast w/ jam, and a little bit of cottage cheese

Snack: apple and cheese

Dinner: Not sure yet- maybe a wrap to counterbalance all the crap I ate this morning.

i think i strained it while hiking with the dog on Sunday - either trying to prevent her from crashing into a tree while we were both sliding down a muddy hill, or trying to get her in the car, or making really long jumps over the stream in order to reach some trash i simply couldn't walk away and leave there, or maybe all three! it was a bit sore last night, but then today i just bent over to put a pair of shoes down and it all of a sudden went out. it REALLY hurt. i just wanted to lay down on the floor and not move. but i had to get ready for work, which is very frustrating if you can't bend over and going up and down stairs is painful.

i just took some advil and put on a microwave warming pack, so hopefully it will feel a little better soon. after i give the advil a chance to work, i'm going to go to the gym and walk and sit in the sauna for a while. my dad, who is my permanently on-call doctor,

I see the GP tomorrow morning. I am definitely going to ask for medication. I cannot just "ride it out" when I am having a bad episode anymore.
