Sorry that I've been MIA for a few days, ladies. Wes (my boyfriend) and I broke up, officially last night, and I've been a mess- I haven't been home (long story)- I've been at his house, so not exercising, and not eating much at all, and anything I do eat goes right through me- sorry if that's gross.

Basically, it all comes down to the fact that he wants to be adventuring for the rest of his life, and although he wants me to be there all of the time, he knows I'm not strong enough/experienced enough to keep up. He's crazy about me, but he knows that his climbing, etc will eventually put me by the wayside, unless I can go with him all the time. He said it wouldn't be fair to both of us if he was always gone. And that he doesn't want to hurt me later, because he cares about me so much.

I'm going to go cry some more now...

I'm so sorry this happened to you! I'm sure it's hard to hear what he's saying but in a twisted sort of way, it does make sense. Being on the same page with your lives is extremely important in a relationship and it's so much easier to recognize that early on. That being said, I am sure that you're going through a tough time right now and we can help at all, please let us know. *hugs*

It worked great for my husband but my arms were too short and I couldn't hold them that way after a couple of weeks.

Oh, I can imagine how painful it is. I feel for you. Logically, it makes sense. You don't share the same core interests. But emotionally, I know it feels like your insides have been ripped out. Take whatever time you need and know that we're all here for you.

I've got to get myself an attitude adjustment. :-P I haven't slept well the last couple nights and when you combine that w/ my schedule and crazy weather I'm starting to suffer from a little burnout. As a result I find myself grinding my teeth w/ frustration regarding people who refuse to listen to what I'm saying in classes. I have no problem w/ inexperienced, uncoordinated people that pay attention to what's going on and make an effort, but lately I have had 1-2 people in almost every class that goes off into their own little world, ignoring what's being done and all the attendant cues. Usually I'm pretty easy going since all I can do is give them the tools to make it thru their workouts safely & effectively - what they actually do is up to them. Lately though I just want to go up to these people & say, "If you aren't going to bother to try to do things correctly or even pay attention why did you did you come? You're wasting your time and endangering yourself." I know it's unfair and irrational so I don't say anything like that - I just bend over backwards to get them on track as pleasantly as possible. Oh, well... my schedule eases up for a couple weeks at the end of the month and my nutrition exam is next weekend, so I just have to get thru the next week and then I can regroup.

Four classes today: 75 min. X-training; 2 strength classes; kickboxing.

Breakfast: multigrain/seed ciabatta w/ PB; green tea

Meal 2: big veggie-ful salad; green tea

Meal 3: Luna Bar; soy chai latte

Supper: probably falafel & veggies in a ww pita; herbal tea

Snacks: ww pita w/ hummus; chili-lime tortilla chips w/ peach-pineapple salsa; fresh fruit/veggies; V-8; herbal tea

i'm sorry you are hurting so much. but i agree that it's better to find out earlier rather than later that you aren't compatible. hope you are feeling a bit better today.
