Is that a vodka-cream sauce? If so have you ever tried adding sun dried tomatoes? It really good that way topped w/ garlicky chicken. (Ack, as a vegan I shouldn't be promoting the enjoyment of animal products, but the gourmand in me is stronger.)
Its not all vegetables, but the same ones inclined to make most people gassy. Plus, not all babies are sensitive to this (mine wasn't). If it doesn't seem to be a problem w/ your DD then you shouldn't be short-changing both of you nutritionally by avoiding produce. Both my Ob-Gyn and Ped. encouraged me to eat lots of vegetables. The ped. just just suggested I keep an eye out for #1 Son's reaction to what I ate as he might get gassy when I'm eating lots of cruciferous veggies and legumes, but if it wasn't problem then to eat them as I wished. My diet was primarily grains & veggies at the time and not only wasn't a problem but my son loves both now.
I feed DH & #1 Son all sorts of stuff w/ tofu & extra veggies hiding in it and they don't care as long as it tastes good (and doesn't look revolting ;-> ). I admit though I can't tell DH there's tofu in in something until after he's tried it, but he loves my tofu/veggie lasagna and knows full well what's in it (including zucchini, which he HATES).
Guiltless Gourmet are one of the few low fat ones that are good and they're awesome w/ peach/mango/pineapple salsa (jarred or fresh, as long as its good). I'm a bit of a tortilla chips & salsa connoisseur and have found that sometimes only certain pairings work. Most baked tortillas are bland and dry, rarely even salvagable by even the best salsa. Steer clear of any of the regular supermarket brands. There's one other brand that's good, but I can't think of it right now and I've only found it the organic grocer or health food stores. I'll let you know when I remember it.
I do eat fried tortilla chips too. I get a brand I think is called Que Pasa that cooks them in expeller pressed oil. These one are soooo good w/ freshly made salsa.
BF is finicky about tomatoes (he'll eat them in some dishes and avoid them in others) so I don't know if putting sundried tomatoes in will be a good idea. Maybe just in my portion. Thanks for the idea about garlicky chicken. I can definitely do that.
Tomorrow will be 30 days since I started working out. I am going to be re-measured, weighed and have my BMI and % bodyfat rechecked. I am nervous because I do not see anything on the scales and AF is coming for a visit soon (sorry TMI) and I retain more water than the Hoover damn. I am still at 3 lbs lost for the month. But that's ok because I have so much energy and I feel stronger and my clothes are a little loose on me.
I have been doing great with the beginners classes (KB and Step) did a Total Body (kinda like body pump but slower, thank goodness) and it kicked my butt in a good way. I think next month I can move up to Intermediate classes then I will really see some weight coming off.
This weekend I am going out of town for a family reunion. I can't wait to see my family.
