i had my ipod on shuffle today (i'm in LOVE with the shuffle feature!) and heard a song i don't remember hearing before - it is by a band called hot snakes, i guess you could say they are a punk band. it's called "think about carbs" -- it's about watching what you eat and not getting fat! how funny! i'm not sure if they mean the song ironically or seriously, but either way i like it!

have you found any good music for your ipod yet jean?

I'm so jealous! I want an ipod but I have no idea how to use one. That's one thing that I miss about being in school, being around other kids who can show me how to use the newest gadgets. I need some kids around me! I still carry a Walkman with me to the gym that has a cassette deck. How sad is that? My sister and brother both work in the IT field and know how to use all of the latest electronics. I wish one of them would come and visit and show me how to use some of this stuff. My parents are even more technologically advanced than me. My father is the one that showed me how to pay my bills on-line. I remember when *I* was the one showing *him* how to do things on the computer. Funny how roles reverse.

I'm totally out of it, too! I only did this because my husband gave me the shuffle for valentines day and I've been whining about how boring running it.

Yesterday my step instructor threw in some music from her "bar dancing" days. It's funny when I hear certain songs from the past. I can immediately remember what grade I was in and think of what I was doing at the time. We listened to "Doin' the Butt", "Whoop There it Is", Kool Moe D's "Wild Wild West", a New Edition song, and so many other songs from the past. Looking at her: 40, mother of 2 kids, kind of serious... I can't picture her standing on top of a speaker and "Doin' the Butt!"
