I didn't get #1 Son a ton of candy, but I let him gorge on it yesterday so there's not much around now (if any). Too bad you're not a lactose intolerant vegan. It makes willpower is a non-issue for me. I did however end up making a mocha-almond Depression cake and have a distinct lack of will when it comes to that (I used stone ground spelt & raw organic sugar and its soooo moist). In the past I had the Easter Bunny leave goodies for DH & I as well, mainly because DH has no qualms about raiding our son's goodies. I found it was easy to behave by allowing myself a little of my own - unfortunately my son is very generous & likes to share. ;-)
Every time I walk into my kitchen, there is a Hershey Bar with almonds staring me in the face... do you know how many times I have been tempted to eat that darn candy bar!
I have 2 kids. They have jelly beans that I've been picking at here and there. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate at this time. Good thing my aunt isn't in town or I would have gobbled the chocolate up by now.
See, that's the bonus of being lactose intolerant vegan. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE chocolate. It's one of my few vices. Yes I am aware of any little speck of chocolate that's in the house but since it's all milk chocolate I have no problem ignoring it. (Yes, I know as a vegan I shouldn't even buy milk chocolate, but I do buy very little and only twice a year. As DH & #1 Son aren't vegan I have to compromise. I'm happy to say though that this method is gradually winning my guys over - and they aren't even aware of it. ;-> teehee )
Oh my goodness...CHOCOLATE everywhere. My son got some from the easter bunny, grandparents and aunts and uncles. It is everywhere and my eating has been horrendous last week and now this week since it has been in the house. That is my biggest problem and now it is everywhere. I tried putting it out of sight but I know where it is and get into it. Even if dh hides it, in my weak moments i go looking for it. Prior to easter i would just look from cupboard to cupboard for stuff to munch on , but i make sure the house is free of it and now this. I can't even have chocolate chips in the house for this reason.lol I think last year i just slowly threw stuff away..a little at a time so that ds wouldn't notice. Lets say five eggs a day. My son loves chocolate too and he really has a hard time staying out of it as well. I hope someone has a suggestion for us. I really cut back on what the easter bunny brang, but family just doesn't listen when i say no chocolate. I am truely buzzing right now from all the sugar. I have to stop...thank goodness at least i got a good workout at the gym today to make up for it a bit. But i can't keep this up, it's not healthy. Suzanne
It's helped me to have some REALLY good chocolate instead of the fakey type stuff that bunnies and things are made of (unless your family does godiva type bunnies-- mine does the cheap ones!).

How about trying "out of sight is out of mind"?
