I'm doing some sort of step today. It's a level X class taught by my favorite instructor, but I don't know what type of step she's going to come up with this time. Last time we did T-Step. All I know is that it is going to be some sort of multiple step class. Hoping for circle step or quad step.
This baby weight isn't coming off fast enough and I've even picked up a couple of pounds. Time to make changes!!! I'm returning to my No-Grain Diet effectively immediately. I had gotten within 11 pounds of my pre-preg weight but now I'm 15 pounds away.

Breakfast - Sausage, 2 hard-boiled eggs

Hot Lemon Water

Snack - Mandarine Oranges

Hot Lemon Water

Lunch - Smoked Chicken, Salad with olive oil and vinegar, sugar snap peas

Hot lemon water

Dinner - Fish

Water, Water, Water

My hamstrings are still killing me from the deadlifts I did on Saturday night! I tried deadlifting last Wednesday but I felt it in my lower back, so I read up on proper technique and tried again. Guess I got it right now! Tonight I teach step and piano.

Breakfast: bagel, cream cheese, spinach, smoked salmon; soy milk hot chocolate
Lunch: butternut squash soup, avocado dipped in soy sauce
Snack: banana, peanuts, babybel
Dinner: ??? my mom and I are in a food rut lately. Nothing (not even junk) sounds appealing.

Millcreek, are you nursing still? Be patient with that post pregnancy weight, it will come off when it is ready to come off. It is amazing how it suddenly will disapear. Well, that is assuming that you eat right and exercise, which you do!

No gym for me today, but I am teaching kickboxing aerobics tonight, and then I have TKD. I was going to workout today, but I am afraid of over doing. I still don't have that second trimester energy.

Food:
half a bagel, strawberry cream cheese
handful of goldfish
cheese quesadilla, salsa
strawberries
pickles (the vinegar helps my tummy), do they count as a veggie? :)
baked spaghetti with Italian sausage
romaine salad

I count pickles as a fruit! They have seeds, right? It's funny how we all have different ways of categorizing foods. Jean said that we can make our own determination as to what constitutes a fruit and what is a vegetable. You decide.

Yes, I'm nursing and not supplementing. I thought bf was supposed to help you lose weight FASTER. Why am I stuck? I have been eating well but I was allowing grains like Fiber One Cereal and Oatmeal. Since I'm no longer losing weight and picked up 4 pounds during TOM, I thought I would eliminate grains and see what happens. The video that they showed me in the hospital said that I should expect to lose my pregnancy weight in 4 months. DD will be 4 months soon and I still have double digit figures to lose! (Isn't that funny that the only part of the video I remember is the weightloss part?)

I also haven't been exercising as much as I used to (pre-baby). Maybe my expectations are too high. I thought that I would have the baby and bounce right back into my old routine. Who knew that 24 hours would go by so fast once you added a baby and then a job! So, mom of soon to be 3, what is a realistic timetable? How long should I wait before I start to panic?

I hate to give advice that I never follow, but...:)

With both kids I had a panic attack around 4 or 5 months. I would always have ten or more pounds to loose and I couldn't figure out why it would go away. Then, it always did. Not on my time table, of course, but when my body decided that it didn't need the extra weight anymore.

It is true that you are suppose to loose weight faster if you bf, but not always. First, everybody's body is different. Second, you will loose the initial weight faster, but most of the time you will hang on to some extra body fat until you are done nursing. Sucks, I know.

Just be patient, you don't have a beauty pageant to win anytime soon. 11 pounds is not that much after having a baby. I never follow this advice, I always freak out and cry myself to sleep because I want to wear my old clothes.

You are working and taking care of an infant, and nursing. That is amazing. Don't put any extra pressure on yourself to have to loose weight too. I am sure you are beautiful and dd and dh will love you whether you are 200 pounds or 120 pounds.

strictly speaking, pickles (that is, cucumbers) ARE a fruit!

LOL! Love that! "But they're green..." That has to be the quote of the week. We should start that with the question of the week.

I know quite a few women who held onto to weight while they were nursing.
