What a morning! DD wasn't feeling well so I was an hour late getting into the office and when I finally DID come in, I was covered in dried vomit and I had forgotten my bra! I cleaned up the vomit and I'm wearing my sports bra from my gym bag. DH will bring my nursing bra on his way to work. Oh, what joy!

Breakfast - eggs, sausage

Lunch - Salad, sardines

Snack - Mandarine Oranges

Dinner - Pork Chops

I'm trying to give dd a break on the vegetables since her stomach is upset. I had better call my MIL and see how she's doing.

If dd is feeling better or if dh can take care of her, I'll go to my step class tonight. If not, I'll lift weights at home. Definitely doing SOMETHING today.

you are hilarious, mistaking your tricep for swelling! welcome back! sounds fun, except for your fall. ay ay ay, that sounds like it was a bad one! glad you are ok.

has anyone been watching that show trippin' on MTV? i really like it. cameron diaz takes a bunch of her celebrity friends to these exotic places where they learn about saving the environment and other cultures. they also have facts about how to help the environment that appear on the bottom of the screen, like during the scene where an SUV is dispatched to help cameron and crew rescue their truck that is stuck in soft sand in the chilean desert, the message at the bottom of the screen flashes "this is what SUVs are designed for. however, 90% of SUVs are never taken off-road. unless you are going off-road or rescuing cameron, all your SUV is doing for you is costing you an extra $1000 per year in gas." the whole show is produced in a way that is really ecologically and culturally sensitive, but fun.

OW. Every single muscle in my body is sore today. Needless to say, I am taking the day off from the gym. I am going to meet my bf for lunch and teach piano in the afternoon.

Breakfast: leftover stew on top of noodles
Lunch: BBQ chicken pizza & greek salad
Dinner: ???
Snacks: will include coffee and KETTLE CORN.

So, not too healthy today, but I don't really care.

Oh, and bf and I went to the gym on Saturday, we did a bit of spinning for cardio and full body weights, he really enjoyed himself and is already talking about going again this weekend. Think I might turn him into a full-scale gym rat? ;)

See, if you weren't in great shape you would probably be in traction with broken bones right now. Do you ever notice how when someone who doesn't workout falls, it's a major event, but when one of us takes a spill, it's no different than falling in step class. That reminds me...

I'm kind of up in the air today with my workout. I think I might not do one. I did my 30 minute run yesterday and am still pretty sore from that. I've also been thinking about changing my workout routine since I'm starting to feel overtrained again. I think I underestimate the effect that running has on my body. I'm just going to putter around the house today. Went to the grocery store this morning. I'm going to make a lemon tart thing since we have tons of lemon peel and lemon juice.

I'll have to update my food later. My brain is kind of on vacation and I can't really think about it now. :)

Sounds like a good show. I think I've read of it somewhere.

Yeah, I was wondering how much the muscles really did protect me and if they do a better job than fat. I was surprised to get up so quickly but I never realized how bad it was until my friends told me.

I did 35 minutes on the arctrainer and 15 minutes on the rbike. I normally can't stay on machines that long, but I have to read 800 pages by tonight and the only place I could get away from the kids was the gym. Works out nice, eh?

food:
half a bagel, strawberry cream cheese
famous amos cookies
left over spaghetti
grapes
fried chicken, rice, green beans
popcorn

I set my alarm with all intentions of going to the gym this morning and well I rolled over. I will go this evening. I am thinking about a walk/run 45 mins, the bike for 10-15 mins and than some ab work.

Tomorrow is my day off from the gym and I am also thinking of taking one day over this weekend off too. I am trying to get myself in the frame of mind that perhaps I am over doing it. I dunno. It is a hard habit to break.
