I couldn't workout yesterday. I have to find something that works for me! I'm missing too many days and I feel horrible when I do.

B-Didn't have time to make breakfast this morning. I found some soup in my desk from my prego days.

Lunch - Salad, Steak

Snack - oranges

Dinner - pork chops

I'm going to try setting smaller goals. I'm only going to work my back and biceps today. Maybe if I break my workouts into smaller sessions, I will miss fewer workouts. I'll do bicep curls, rows, push-ups, lat pull-downs, and abs.

It's really hard to find time to work out when they're little--I can't imagine how people squeeze it in when they work.

Didn't I read something about the FDA re-evaluating the safety of Advil?

Yeah, that and Motrin (those non-steroidal anti-inflammatories).

what if you started doing some stuff at home? with a little bit of space and a small amount of money, you could do a lot of strength training at home. that

ok, you all hold me to this. i'm eating completely healthy until i leave for hawaii in about a month. last ditch effort to either lose a few more pounds or at least cushion against vacation weight gain.

i'm really excited because i just bought a whole wardrobe of swim clothes - tankinis, matching board shorts and a long sleeve rash guard that matches it all. i can't wait till they come - hope everything fits. it should because it's all from the same brand that i already bought one tankini and a short sleeve rash guard that fit me great. so the new stuff will match what i already have and i'll have three tankinis, 2 pairs of board shorts, a long sleeve rash guard, and a short sleeve rash guard that all match each other. i highly recommend this brand - "water girl" by patagonia. all of their cotton is organic cotton, and it is styled to be good for water sports, yet look hip, and also to fit "real" women, which i can attest to because the thing i love most about the tankini i have is that it doesn't cut into my middle and create rolls of fat. and their rash guards provide 50+ UV protection. what more could you want?

i also bought a bunch of quick-dry, easy-to-pack, sweat-wicking clothes to bring. i hope they don't put a hold on my credit card because i'm spending so much more than i usually do! but i plan on packing VERY light and still having everything i need for 2 weeks of surfing, hiking, sight-seeing, snorkeling, partying, and lounging.

kiervin or anyone familiar with hiking in Hawaii, what do you think the trails will be like? for day hikes, do i need to bring my hiking boots, or can i get away with trail sneakers? as i said, i'm trying to pack light, and my hiking boots are so heavy compared to sneakers (and not as versatile as sneakers). i want to bring no more than 3 pairs of shoes, and for me, that's a herculean task!

anyhoo, as for today, i'm spinning at lunch and i'm excited because i haven't done it in a while. tonight i'm going to do some pilates and yoga at home.

food-

black coffee, smoothie

amy's veggie loaf

kale and meatballs with olive oil and garlic

possibly some citrus, some cashews, another smoothie

You're right. I have the equipment at home and theoretically could get a good workout in. I just haven't been doing it. I have to get over my preference for the gym atmosphere and do SOMETHING, even if it's at home while dd is in her swing or napping. The problem with working out at home is that I find a million things to do besides working out like washing clothes, loading the dishwasher, picking up, etc. I have to be diciplined!

I did my 5K this morning. I'm off today so I'll be puttering around the house, preparing for mom's arrival next week. I'm scotchguarding our new chairs since we are the adult equivalent of children and can't have nice things. *grin* Getting my hair trimmed this afternoon and then DH and I are going to take in a movie.

Snack: banana yogurt shake

Breakfast: post 5K celebratory breakfast burrito with OJ (I never drink juice!)

Lunch: lentil burger, veggies and hummus, fruit sundae

Snack/Dinner: we might go out.... not sure

Went to spinning this morning, then beauty parlour extraordinaire - manicure, pedicure, eyebrow wax. I always get my brows done professionally because the one time I tried doing them myself I ended up with monobrow...a lopsided one :P

Then I got groceries. This afternoon I will do laundry and I have some music stuff to do.

Breakfast: bagel, cream cheese, spinach, smoked salmon
Snack: banana
Lunch: bbq chicken boobie, roasted asparagus, red pepper, onion, baby carrots
Dinner: mom wants to go out for pho
Snack: baked chips, veggies & dip, maybe an apple?

I went swimming yesterday, finally. It felt so good. I didn't get a workout today, I haven't been feeling well--morning sickness.

Food:
Hot pocket
grilled ham and cheese, tatertots
banana
half a taco salad, chips and salsa
