I finally made it to my step class over the weekend. It was fun! Today, I'd like to go to another step class but I'm prepared to jump rope at home and lift a little.
Breakfast - 2 hard-boiled eggs, coffee, banana
Snack - oranges
Lunch - pork chop, asparagus, salad with olive oil and vinegar
Snack - oranges
Dinner - Fish, corn (I'd really like a green veggie but I don't want to upset dd's stomach.)
Lots of water. In addition to jump roping and lifting at home today, I may take a walk around the building. Not much of a workout, but it will get me moving and wake me up if I'm tired.

How's your daughter doing these days?
Be careful with your 5K. How's your neck/base of skull? Must be feeling pretty good if you're going to attempt the 5K. Enjoy your run!
What a fun age!
glad your neck is feeling better! congrats on the 5K - boy you are fast! (well compared to me at least)
here are some tips i've gotten from running mags about running on hills: when going uphill, try to maintain the same speed as much as possible. focus on running up and OVER the hill, lifting your knees higher than on a level road. when going downhill, resist the urge to lean back and slow your momentum. instead, keep your weight over your hips like normal and speed up your legs to keep up with the momentum and ride the momentum down the hill.
Oh my, bf and I really pushed ourselves at the gym on Saturday night, and I am still feeling it. We did 40 min of spinning, followed by chest/back/shoulders and finished off with abs. It was really fun and we motivated each other.
Today is TOM and last night when it started I was wearing ALL WHITE and sleeping on new sheets. Luckily I woke up and made it to the bathroom in time. Today I teach piano and step in the evening.
Breakfast: bagel, natural peanut butter, banana
Lunch: Roasted veggies, WW pasta, chicken boobie
Dinner: ???
Snack: gonna splurge on ONE thing, I am finally getting a little bored of kettle corn, I might have a bag of those York Peppermint bites. There's also seaweed salad and some sushi.

you just aren't used to running on hills. you could run all you want on a flat road or treadmill, but the only way to get good at running on hills is to practice on hills.
i'm going to run again today, but this time on the treadmill i think. it is so boring but running outside downtown hurts my feet (because it's mostly on cement sidewalks) and i can't judge my distance as easily. plus, it's already getting a bit too hot and sunny for me to run at midday outside.
