What kind of routine would you do at the gym if you only had say, 45 minutes?

For teaching or for your own workout?

I mean for my own workout - on Saturday night my BF and I got to the gym around 9:15 and they closed at 10...of course I felt the workout was very rushed and I was wondering if you could even do a satisfying workout in that short time.

I feel really good after a high intensity interval workout if I don't have much time.

What kind of cardio would you do in an interval workout? Would it be awkward to run back and forth from the cardio machines to the weight section?

If you were doing circuit interval training, I'd probably do something like jump rope or plyometric jump squats w/ weights, burpees, ...

that's interesting that you consider that being "short on time", because i rarely stay at the gym for MORE than 45 minutes. a typical workout for me is usually a full body strength training workout, which takes me less than 45 minutes, or a 3 mile run on the treadmill which takes about 35 minutes.
