A very atypical Monday for me. Since I'm at the music festival tonight, I got someone to sub my step class. So this morning, I'm going to the festival to pick up a program, then do a Pilates class, followed by cardio (either treadmill or elliptical) and bicep/tricep.
Breakfast: the usual bagel setup, lavender Earl Grey tea w/honey (prep my throat for singing tonight)
Lunch & Dinner: no clue, but it will have lots of veggies.
Yesterday bf and I went to a BBQ and I had thought about bringing a crudite platter so that I would be assured there would be SOMETHING healthy..well I didn't and of course there ended up being just ONE little salad dish! everything else was meat and white pasta and chips & dip! I felt so gross after that meal. I have to make up the veggies today.

Today is going to be tricky... I left my bag with all of my meals in the fridge at home. I sent a text message to dh to see if he could bring it on his way to work, but I don't know if he got it. He didn't respond. IF he brings my food, then I will have
Breakfast - eggs
Snack - Orange
Lunch - Fish, veggiest
Snack - Tuna
Dinner - Chicken, Veggies
I'll be eating orange wedges throughout the day.
I wanted to do step today, but I have to go to the grocery store and pick up some eggs. (Can't get those delivered.) You would think running in and grabbing eggs would take just a minute or two, but not with a baby! I'll workout when I get home. Probably glutes, hams, quads, calves, and abs.
I ran 4 miles on the treadmill and then did an 1hr and 15 min sports conditioning class.
i was out there running in the rain last night! it was like 50 degrees and raining. i decided to run to the gym (about 4 miles) and then go swimming at the gym. then T picked me up when i was done. i nearly froze during the run though - i just wore my swim suit top and a pair of running shorts and it was freezing and raining. when i got to the gym i couldn't feel my hands and it took a few minutes before they worked well enough that i could get my gym pass out of my fanny pack. who would have thought it would get so cold in late april!??!! other than that it was great though - i ran the whole way without walking (i couldn't stop or i'd get hypothermia!) and then i had a great swim, and then i did some water jogging for a while, then i sat in the sauna until it was time for T to pick me up. i did a good job "packing light" for the swim - i fit one of those small "camping towels", my bathing suit bottoms, a plastic bag, my goggles, my swim cap, my combo lock, and a tank top for post-swim into a small fanny pack and ran with the fanny pack.
the highlight of the weekend was a fun trip to the emergency room last night - T sliced his wrist on pruning shears. he had to get three stitches, and it was really interesting to watch them do it. i was really proud of my first aid skills and the first aid kit i had put together. i am really good in emergencies, if i do say so myself, very calm and take charge... i had him run it under some water while i went to go wash my hands and grab the first aid kit, then i put a sterile gauze pad on his wrist and taped it on firmly with medical tape. then i quickly got dressed (i was still in my clothes from the gym) and took him to the hospital. i was really proud that we had everything we need in the first aid kit i put together - it isn't one of those pre-packaged ones (they are so expensive!!), i put it together myself in a container from the container store and even made a homemade label for it.
today i'm going to go lift weights shortly and then i teach cardio kickboxing tonight.
food-
breakfast: amy's tofu scramble/veggies/hash browns frozen meal, coffee
post-weight lifting: leftover indian spicy mustard greens (from a can) over a little bit of whole wheat pasta, smoothie (from juice joint)
post-work, pre-kickboxing: tamale casserole (T made this for a potluck we went to saturday night - it is really good and pretty healthy!)
post-kickboxing: grapefruit, kale (didn't eat it the other day)
another thing i might do is bike halfway to the gym, lock up my bike, run the rest of the way to the gym, swim, run back to my bike, bike home. then you don't need
I've got the dogwood winter blues today. It has been so cold all weekend, I want it to warm up again.

I ran for 25 minutes today- for me that's not too bad! That's what I was starting out doing right before I broke up with Wes, and since I haven't done it since then, obviously I have not built up endurance yet! So that is my new goal. I will do arms and abs later on when I'm going blind trying to write this paper that's due tomorrow.
Breakfast: TJ's Essentials w/ soymilk
Snack: balance bar
Lunch: TBD- going to go forage right now
Dinner: some semblance of chicken and veggies.
