Yesterday was a disaster with food because I left my bag in the refrigerator and then dh forgot to bring it to me. I held out until 11AM and then had to hit the vending machine for "healthy alternatives." Our machines are terrible! You know(or you may not know if it's been a while) the vending machines put a little symbol next to the snacks that are "healthy." Well, I had two choices: animal crackers and cookies. There are no nuts, trail mix, or even pretzels in that machine! I feel like I should request more healthy snacks but I don't eat out of the vending machine enough to feel like I should have a vote. Today I have my meals and am planning on a much better day. BTW, I had a pretty good workout yesterday. DD wouldn't let me do anything so I used her as my weight instead of my hand weights. I held her to my chest and did lunges and squats. I layed her on my shins and did leg extensions, one leg at a time. Then I put her on my chest again and did abs. I felt kind of guilty "using" her but she seemed to enjoy it!

Breakfast - 2 hard-boiled eggs, coffee, orange

Snack - Orange

Lunch - chicken, mixed vegetables

Dinner - salmon, veggies

Working chest and triceps today. And I'll throw abs in at the end.

Well, I'm up super-early to finish a paper that's due at noon. Only 4 pages to go, and I pretty much know what I'm saying- I just have to actually put it in cohesive sentences. Yes, I am the world's biggest procrastinator. But I've had such a horrible semester (or at least the second half) that right now, I'm just trying to get my work done and turned in. It's one semester, and I'm not going on to do a PhD, so if I don't do so hot, it won't be so bad. I'm going to yoga tonight, I think. If not, I might work out here. The gym in our basement is temporarily closed, while they get ready to open the new one, so no running here. And I don't want to haul back over to campus later- I'm going to want to take a nap once this paper is turned in.

Breakfast: Essentials w/ soymilk

Snack: cottage cheese w/blueberries

Lunch: yogurt, carrots & hummus

Early Dinner: ???? depends if I go to yoga or not.

Snack: if I'm awake by that point in the day!!

Which one Jean? I make CL cakes/desserts all the time. Their recipes are really good.

I think it's ingenious to bond with your child and exercise all at the same time. :)

Going to run 2 miles this morning. I'm working on speed instead of distance (that will be Friday's run). I'm not at work today so I'm going to be doing odds and ends around here. I have a few phone calls to make and some painting touch-ups to do. Also might do a little cooking.

I'll have to update food because I have no idea right now....

very creative! don't they have "mommy and me" exercise classes where the mom gets a workout by lifting and moving the baby? maybe you could find one in your area.

We have a program here called Stroller Strides that is for mothers and children. Maybe that would be an option?

It was fun to use dd in a pinch yesterday but I would rather workout with weights. She's a little light and I had to do a lot of reps to feel anything yesterday. My gym has Mommy and Me classes but they're mostly yoga/stretching type classes. It would be a great way to meet other mothers but not a very good workout.

I would do it in a pinch but I'd rather get a *real* workout. Working out at home is working for now but I still miss the gym.

Oh, I've so been there Kira. I've used my kids as weights so many times. When I bike, they become resistance because the only time I have to ride is when they are in there little cart attached to my bike.

I am going to swim after class today. I have tkd tonight. I'm trying to think of an alternative to running for out virtual triathlon, and walking is just so boring.

Food:
eggs, croissant
pbj on ww, banana
wheat thins
hopefully chinese, mil is taking us out tonight
