Last night, at work, we had a staff meeting. This teacher whom I had previously only spoken on the phone with (we work different nights) says to me out of the blue, "Are you pregnant? BECAUSE YOU LOOK SO FAT!"
me: o.O!!!!! OMGHOWDAREYOUSAYSUCHATHING!!!!!!!!!!!
Then this miserable excuse for a human had the nerve to sit next to me at the meeting. There was pizza and pop at the meeting, of course I did not have any.
her: Are you going to have any?
me: No thanks, pizza is unhealthy.
her: Are you Canadian? I thought all Canadians ate junk food.
Now she is this weak scrawny little pile of skin and bones and I would just LOVE to know what parasite crawled up her @ss and died. I would also love to take her outside and beat the #%^#^ out of her until she cried for mercy. I seriously have never been so insulted in my life!

Did she mean it in a malicious way?
OK, now I know the type.
Well, aside from being horribly rude and discourteous, that was ridiculously unprofessional. I haven't read anyone else's responses yet, but my thought would be that she's jealous and maybe you looked a little "too good" and she felt compelled to upset you.
This is one of those moments where you take yourself back to gradeschool when things like that happened all the time and remember how to handle these things... consider the source. Take pride in knowing that you could absolutely take her. :) Muscles are beautiful and sexy and my guess is she is one of those skinny-fat people. Yes, maybe she's a size zero or something but she couldn't defend herself from a determined cricket.
Sorry.. random. *hugs* People are terribly jealous and insecure creatures.
the best thing to do is learn to let stuff like that roll off your shoulders. lots of people have no tact and say the most obnoxious things. she probably didn't mean to be mean, but even if she did, what do you care what a stranger says? i try to see the humor in stuff like that.
in any event, although i agree that it is crappy to be treated rudely, i certainly don't think that woman's comments warrant such violent thoughts! responding with such anger doesn't make you feel any better and it's not going to help the situation. you really just hurt yourself when you let yourself get so upset about it and walk around with so much anger over a random stranger's comment - it's so not worth it.
i'm probably mangling it by paraphrasing here,
I think she was extremely rude and I would have been quite offended. Also, as a Canadian, I am insulted that she thinks we all eat junk food. I don't think she would appreciate it if you made some incorrect streotypical comments about Asian people. She isn't worth your energy or thoughts. I generally wipe people like that off my radar and don't give them the time of day from then on.
