PMS vs. Eating Healthy?

All right, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that although we are all very health-conscious ladies, we still all get awful food cravings while Aunt Flow is paying a visit. At least I do- I swear to God, it's like my uterus has a chocolate-radar that tracks signals of oreos and hershey bars and sucks them in like a tractor beam. I also get REALLY hungry the few days before it starts, and I also tend to crave salty food, along with sweet. Obviously, I do the best I can not to succumb to the cravings, but it usually means that I end up miserable and hungry.
So two questions- does anyone else get immense hunger pangs and what do you do to fend them off in a healthy way? (like I said, I try to just eat a normal amount, but then I get all irritable) And secondly, what are some tasty, satisfying HEALTHY little snacks that you all personally use to sate the hormone-monster? I'm sure everyone has their own little secrets, so please spill!

i don't get pms, but i think you should eat if you are hungry no matter what time of the month it is. healthy snacks that make me feel full and satisfied are granola, luna bars, pete's tofu (comes in a variety of flavors), smoothies, nuts, roasted brussel sprouts (hey i never did post that recipe!)
when i want
Your uterus came with the built-in chocolate radar too? I thought that was just me...
I get those cravings too. Along with being crabby and generally unpleasant, I also want loads of chocolate. I try to compromise and have fudgsicles or some of my protein pudding. If I keep up with my exercise, the cravings aren't as bad. And sometimes, when I can tell I'm going to be obssessive about it, I'll just go ahead and have whatever it is that I want. Otherwise, I'll try substituting a bunch of things and still end up eating what I wanted in the first place. I also keep in mind that there are metabolic spikes pre-period and I'm probably burning more calories anyway. :)
