Going to the gym this afternoon/evening to work out. I have a dermatologist appointment at 2, and I was going to go before the appointment, but they're renovating our building, and they're painting the doors today. We got a notice that says that because of this, once they've painted the doors, they must remain propped open about 6 inches for 2 hours, so the paint can dry. It also said they've hired security guards to hang around while this happens. But the management is so disorganized, and the contractors that they've hired to do the renovations don't seem to manage time well- it's taken them FOREVER to get small tasks done. So I certainly don't trust that they're going to have proper security. And I certainly don't want my apartment to be unlocked and open while I'm gone! So I'm going to hang around as long as I can this morning and just go to the gym later.

I was pretty good this weekend, until the trip to the ice cream place! It's a local ice cream place that we can easily ride our bikes to, but with the kiddies bedtime coming up, be opted to drive there. Anyway, we love the fact that he is here, but he was on the verge of closing, so DH & I bought banana splits to increase his revenues a bit (so that makes it less fattening, right). Needless to say, I have to up my work-out this week just a tad!

Breakfast: Cereal, strawberries & soy milk

Lunch: Salad with 1/2 avocado, strawberries, cucumber, & olive oil dressing.

Snack: Apple with peanut butter

Dinner: Pork chop, applesauce, greenbeans

I plan on riding my bike outside this evening - it's supposed to be a nice day!

I want to be a grandmother like that one day! Where you can't wait for a visit and can't resist the baked things.

That's crazy! But, it'll be done soon. I always wonder how places stay in business when they're always running behind schedule (or maybe that's how they do it).

I strongly believe in ordering more to support mom and pop shops. I need to find a local mom and pop ice cream shop here to support...

I'm Back! I actually made it to a step class this morning. I had fun, I forgot how much I enjoy step. I felt like an idiot, you know how the first time back feels. Anyway, I also did arms, I am teaching fitness kickboxing tonight, and then I am doing regular tkd. Hopefully I didn't over do it.

Food:
kashi golean blueberry waffle
crackers
egg salad on ww, strawberries
nectarines (first of the season, yummy!)
sour candy
maple-braised porkchops and apples

Hmm... I think I'll post today when things don't look so outrageous. I have had to work so much lately i hardly have time to eat sleep or doing anything but work. I'm worried when thing return to normal my metabolism will have turned into a slug's because, try as I might, as often as not I'm only able to consume 1/2 the calories I burn in a day. It's a good thing I eat pretty clean or I'd be worried about malnutrition. It's a lazy, high carb day today. I had a client, lifted some weights and videotaped a class, an easy day due to the long weekend. I should do housework and laundry but we'll see. I intended to take the dog on a major hike/walk at the dog park but there's a huge industrial fire w/ all the attendant gawkers tying up traffic right in the area, so i think that's off my to-do-list. Poor pup.

Breakfast: 1 ww/flax/jumbleberry waffle; decaf coffee

Lunch: multigrain bread w/ PB

Supper: rice & cabbage casserole; spiced V-8

Snacks: fresh fruit; fruit & soy protein smoothie; leftover tabbouli; tea; glass of wine
