Running and training legs...

Strength trained w/DH this morning and discovered that my capacity to do lunges and squats on the days I run is greatly diminished. I tried to do squats on the BOSU and my knees ached. I even did regular lunges on the floor and my knees ached.

I have noticed that I can do these things on non-running days BUT the capacity is still somewhat diminished. I used to do lunges on the BOSU before I started running. I would do kick lunges or combat lunges. Now, that element of instability really seems to bother my knees.

It was kind of frustrating this morning but I suppose it makes sense that my knees take a beating when I run. They have a lot to support. :)

Does BOSU stand for something?

It stands for "both sides up." I think I type it in all caps because every time I've seen it written, it's in caps. I was not trying to yell BOSU. *grin*
