Is this poor taste or what . . .

Recently, a local radio station - well, the two morning disk jockeys were the ones in on this - announced that they were going to buy some donuts and bring them to our club and dangle them in front of the "fat people on the treadmills"! Members and staff not working called the club to tell the employees this was going on. One of our staffers met the radio crew out in the parking lot to tell them they couldn't come in. Of course they announced this on the radio. Well, another club (I won't mention any names, but it's a national chain for women only) called the radio station to tell them that we were being poor sports and the station can come to their club to do their little stunt! If I were a member of that club, I'd quit that day! How demoralizing would it be to hold a donut in front of someone who is trying so hard to get in shape!
In the end, I'm glad I work AND work-out in the club I do!

That's horrible. Kind of reminds me of the one morning deejay we have here who is generally funny but occasionally gets off on tangents about how fat girls are easy prey because they have low self-esteem. *sigh*
Good for your club for having a standard of decency! Shame on the other club for allowing the media to mock its' members.
