So I finally got a bike today! Originally I was looking for a used bike, since I figured it'd be cheaper, but finding a bike that was the right size and the right kind is kinda hard, since the stores that have used bikes obviously don't get to choose what they get for stock! So I just caved today and went and got a brand new one. I actually only ended up spending a little under $300 for it- a mountain bike. It's blue and silver :) I got it from an actual bike shop (not Revolution Cycles, for the DC-ers- it looks a bit too snobby for my naivete), so I'm assuming the brand is fine for what I want to do. (I'm not disclosing brand/model, etc since I don't want any hard-core bikers to sneer at my bike ;) ) Basically, I just want to be able to ride around on the trails around Arlington (paved), or take it to one of the parks and ride on a dirt trail. I don't plan on doing any hard-core cycling, racing or biking with people on road bikes, so I figured the mountain bike would be more versatile for my novice needs :) And I can ride it to babysitting 3 out of 5 days a week, since the families on those days are close by- will save me some gas money. Yay! I can't wait to take it out!!

LOL, I'm a bike snob. Yeah, right :P I got my bike at walmart and usually only ride it with a trailer attached. My toochie is to sensative to ride too much.

I'm thinking I should take a class on tuning my bike.
