I barely slept last night, either, so now I feel like a zombie! I'm teaching sports conditioning class today and doing pilates after, though I don't know what good it is to start it now and stop doing it in three weeks when school ends.

i would have no idea what "cardio blast" was and i wouldn't be very interested in finding out. i don't like classes with vague names like that (at least to me it's vague) and it makes me think it'll be a wishy-washy class. i would think "cardio sports conditioning" would be stuff like plyometrics, jumping jacks, mini-relays, etc. and i would think it would be a fun class that i'd be interested in taking.

Sports conditioning sounds like drills and running.

Ditto what Millcreek said. Unlike Jen I'd be more likely to got to the aerobic-type class. I can run and do drills on my own and probably work myself harder than any instructor can, but then I'd never hire a personal trainer either. LOL! The irony of it all. ;-)

No classes, just clients today, but I may do some weights & yoga on my own.

Breakfast: multigrain bagel topped w/ almond butter and flax seeds; soy chai latte

Lunch: ww pita w/ hummus; miso broth w/ seaweed & tofu

Supper: feta-less greek salad; veg. gyoza OR veg. samosa

Snacks: fresh fruit; granola bar; soy chai latte; something else starchy/protein-y

that's interesting, i'd never suspect that "cardio blast" was aerobics. maybe i'm missing out on a lot of classes i like because i don't like the vague names. i like classes with obvious names, like "hi/lo aerobics", "step", etc.

Hmmm... I don't know that I would immediately think there'd be much of a difference just from hearing the names. Cardio blast sounds like lots of intervals.

Did 5 mile run this morning. My time was a bit slow but as my mileage goes up, I am less concerned about time and more concerned about just finishing. No specific plans today other than some painting that needs to be done.

Breakfast: orange juice, Optimum Rebound cereal w/skim milk

Will have to update for the rest of the day....

I went on a ride on my new bike last night- of course, I picked a trail that was ALL hills! It's been awhile since I rode a bike! Anyway, I was zonked when I came home. This morning, I did yoga. I have some errands and stuff to run and then babysitting double duty, so no more working out today, unfortunately.

Breakfast: ww english muffin w/ apricot preserves

Snack: small bowl of ff yogurt w/ blueberries

Lunch: I'm going to the tasty bagel place around the corner- I have a sudden urge for a bagel sandwich, and I almost NEVER eat bagels!

Dinner: Not sure yet, I'll have to throw something together fast. I have some tofu marinating, so I might throw it under the broiler really quick- at least I don't have to worry if it doesn't get cooked all the way.

I feel your pain, Jean! I hate having little to no sleep at nights. Hope you make it through your work-outs today.

No work-out for me today - just chasing after my kiddies . . . and some packing for our move. Tonight I have to go to our church to sign my DS up for Sunday School. If I have time, I plan on going for a local bike ride.

I went to the first Cycling Club gathering Monday night and it was a bit intimidating. I was one of the only ones who didn't have a racing bike (my bike is smaller than a mountain bike, but bigger than a racing bike). There were 4 groups and I went with the slowest group. Now I'm in pretty good shape, or so I thought, but I had a hard time keeping up. The leader of the group told me that everyone's bike is a lot lighter than mine. When we were on flatter surfaces and I drafted, it was a breeze and I was able to keep up with everyone. We ended up going 26 miles in 2 hours! Afterwards, I felt fine. So I'm guessing that I'm in good shape, right?? During that ride, I was a little worried about RAGBRAI and if I'm able to do 485 miles. But in RAGBRAI, it's not a race, we're not allowed to draft, and I'm pretty much going on my own schedule and not that of 5 other people in a group. My first reaction after my ride was . . . never again! I'll do my training on my own! But it was fun and everyone was very supportive. Plus, it gave me great experience in road riding (as opposed to cycling class and riding on a bike path). So I may just ride with the group every other week or so.

Anyway, my planned meals for the day:

Breakfast: Barbara's Shredded Spoonfuls, strawberries and soy milk

Lunch: Salad with avocado, strawberries, apples & flax seed oil

Snack: Hershey's SmartZone Bar

Dinner: Fish, green beans, pasta

I guess the problem for me is that I don't know how to format the class so I'm playing around w/ different ones.
