hope everyone had a great weekend - i did! i spent a lot of time in my new hammock, laying around and knitting - the weather was beautiful for lying in the shade. i went out dancing saturday night. T and i went to the farmers market and made a delicious dinner from our purchases. yesterday i ate ice cream for breakfast! we stopped at our local ice cream shop as we walked back from the farmers market. i watched six feet under with my friend and skateboarded until my legs were sore. i found a cool shirt at the thrift store. it was the perfect weekend. AND to top it off, i got up early this morning and ran 2+ miles.
last week i eased back into real life, this week i have to be more organized at getting everything done that i want to do. as i said, i already ran today, then at lunch i'm going to lift weights and tonight i teach cardio kickboxing. i also want to try to skateboard at least a little bit every day so i'll do that later too. one good thing about being a grownup is you can skateboard in the house and no one can yell at you! (the eating ice cream for breakfast thing is pretty nice too!)
food- flax pancake, ice coffee with soy milk, luna bar, tofu veggie stirfry on brown rice, smoothie, leftover pasta with garlic scapes/broccoli/tomato/basil, possibly corn on the cob or a legume, chocolate

Your grown up life sounds so much more fun and relaxing than my grown up life.
How fun!
I had such a nice weekend - on Saturday afternoon, BF and I went to Costco, where I bought a giant box of delicious blueberries (http://www.flickr.com/photos/zorbs/19004440/) and then went downtown and had the richest ice cream EVER. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/zorbs/18907099/) Then we went to the gym at the Four Seasons and did lower body on the BOSU - BF had never done that before and partnered abs with medicine ball, followed by swimming. Lastly, we wrecked all that exercise by eating greasy chinese food :)
This morning, I am going to my old piano teacher's house to sort out some details for our recital on Wednesday, then I am going to pick up stuff I bought offa ebay at the post office. In the afternoon, I will teach piano then I will go to the gym - a little bit of cardio and bicep/tricep.
Breakfast: homemade french toast on whole grain bread
Snack: Iced grande nonfat 2 splenda latte from Starbucks
Lunch: I'm not awake yet, can't think so far ahead
Dinner: ditto ;)
bad news about the slip n slide - all slip n slide packages say that no one over 5 feet tall and 110 lbs should use them. i was going to ignore the warning, and decided it was probably there for a reason and that "slip n bruise" didn't really sound like so much fun after all.
Sounds like a great weekend Jen! :) My husband and I always used to say that we'd be terrible parents because we have no problem whatsoever with eating cake for breakfast, lunch and dinner (This was before we decided *for sure* to be child-free.)
I'm off to the gym soon. I have clients today but will be able to sneak in a lunch with DH. I'm planning on doing an hour of cardio today as well.
Breakfast: egg scramble - one egg, one egg beater, fontina cheese, and fake sausage, watermelon
Snack: protein shake
Lunch: burrito bowl at Taco del Mar
Snack: detour bar
Dinner: salad, chicken pesto pizza
When I was a kid, the slip and slide was just one long sheet of plastic (and we had to use it UP hills BOTH ways...lol, I'm not that old yet) so when you went off the end, you got a massive grass burn. So, my brother in his infinite wisdom thought it would be smart to have it end at our garden fence... Don't even need to use your imagination with how painful that was.
Sometimes you kill me Jen. ;-)
I'm serving my letter of resignation to whatever manager is in at the gym I do P.T. for today after i teach a 'sculpt' class at the Y. Have a client (independent one) later & teach BC tonight.
Breakfast: oatmeal w/ fresh strawberries & a little Silk; soy chai latte
Lunch: no clue, might go for a quick bowl of soup, a spring roll & some jasmine tea at that fantastic veg. Chinese place near the Y.
Supper: hmmm. maybe ww spagetti w/ tofu-tomato sauce and a salad of mixed baby greens
Snacks: fresh fruit; smoothie or Clif bar; carrots & ww pita w/ hummus
