Hey, what rank are they? My instructors' son and friends' son are both in the 10 year old age group, but they are both black belts. Zane Cox and Davis DiNardo.

I just went to a ref seminar a couple of weeks ago. There are a ton of new scoring rules, so keep your eyes open. They are also making the ring smaller (I don't know if they will do this at juniors)to promote more fighting.

It sucks that ya'll haven't competed any. Our school is both USTU and AAU for that very reason. When they got rid of the state qualifiers our students had to go all the way to Florida to qualify--and we aren't a cheating school so they actually went. But there were students who felt left out because they didn't have the means to travel. So we joined AAU which has there own nationals and more local competition. The students get to compete more often for more experience.

We had to travel all the way to RI for the qualifier and some who couldn't make it flew down to Florida.
