Update...okay, I'm such a sucker for impulse shopping and on the way out of Wal-Mart, they had the cheddar cheese combos which I haven't bought in so long so I picked up a bag.
I did 26 minutes on the eliptical before childcare came to get me because ds bit, again! I am really stressed about his biting. I've tried timeout, grounding, biting back, spanking, but nothing seems to work. He has gotten kicked out of two churches and gets sent out of the Y often. I'm frustrated!
I did tkd tonight, dh with him to a different gym...my fingers are crossed that he didn't get kickout there too.
Food: kashi golean waffle banana cheese pbj on ww, grapes, doritos swedish meatballs, noodles, greenbeans
I read an article about biting once and they talked about how it's an attention-getting ploy, so caregivers/parents should ignore the biter and focus on comforting the bit(ee?) Also, the article said at daycares they don't tell the bitee's parents who the biter was so the parents don't go all vigilante.
It's super easy chili. Normally I saute some onion and bell pepper in a little juice from chili-seasoned canned tomatoes first, but I didn't yesterday (I'll add them today - I make enough to have a bowl one day, but eat the rest the next). Anyway I just throw a can of black beans, rinsed, a can of chili tomatoes, a squirt of hot sauce and some extra cumin in a pot (some cajun spice mix if I have any made) & simmer it for at least half an hour, usually more. Sometimes I add corn too. It's not only good on it's own but in a ww wrap w/ veggies.
My real homemade chili is better, but this good for something so quick & easy to make. I actually only ended up having a little half bowl yesterday since it wasn't ready in time for me to have it for lunch. I saved it for supper today instead. Made a batch of tofu/veggie/tomato sauce to serve on pasta for dinner for us last night instead. (They won't eat the chili. DH doesn't like the chunks of tomatoes & #1 Son won't eat any beans other than chickpeas.)
