Where's the eyeroll emoticon?!?! That is why I do my best NOT to support (buy) magazines with stuff like that on the front. It's misleading and people fall for it every single time.
I picked up both this & Muscle & Fitness Hers when they first came out, but quit when they started publishing more pseudo-articles (ads masquerading as articles) than real ones and the real articles turned into the above mentioned type. They became just like Shape & others of that ilk. I refuse to waste money supporting this crud. SI had a women's edition for awhile that was good. I wonder what happened to it. Are there not enough serious mag buying female gym rats in the world to support a decent health/fitness publication w/ real articles and and real athletic women in place of too lean models that aren't dressed in overly revealing workout clothes?
Along with all that ya'll mentioned, one of my biggest petpeeves about "fitness" mags are the hair and makeup articles. URGH! I don't know if any of ya'll have picked up a pregnancy fitness magazine, but they only have like one article on working out. The other 100 pages are filled with ads and nursery decorating ideas. Other nonprego mags do this too. Shape, for example, does way too many beauty articles. If I want to know how to dress and apply makeup I'll buy a cosmo!

Pregnancy fitness magazines have changed since I bought them.
