I've been going back and forth on this--and was thinking of taking it up again next fall when the kids go back to school.

Do it, do it, do it! I'm all for doing what you love and not letting anything or anybody tell you you can't. I've never been more satisfied since I went back to tkd, and I won't let pregnancy stop me from going. And so what if all you do is circles, at least you will do pretty circles. More than I can do. Actually, I've never been iceskating, but I can't do much on my rollerblades.

no, i think you should skate. you are in great shape! there are many people older than you doing more dangerous sports. skate within your skills, sure - you might want to be less aggressive in pushing the boundary of your skills as quickly as a teenager would. but don't give up something you love just because of a number.

but of course you knew i'd say that - what else would you expect from a girl who started skateboarding at age 34?

LOL, You sound like me as a prego. I know that I should back off on certain moves and kicks, but once I put on the uniform I can't hold back. If my instructor tells me not to do something because of pregnancy I do it just to prove him wrong. I may be stupid or just dedicated, who knows. You'll do fine. It's not like you are starting a completely new sport. Plus, you are in great shape so you are less likely to get hurt. Just make sure you are doing your strength training!
