experienced instructors usually teach it one of two ways - one is like you, except that you are switching lead feet all through the choreography and then when you go through it again you are switching the other way.


like:


4 stomp (r lead)


double knee (r)


6 ct mambo (l)


reverse turn (l)


L step (l)


2 knee corner to corner (r)


ham around the world (r)


hop turn (r)


basic (l)


(i think that's 64 counts) repeat, but now your stomp will be on the left.


the other way i've seen experienced instructors do it is more like the way your

With the really basic step and hi/lo routines I have, I can do it either way so I do both as we build up all the blocks but at the end, I cue it from beginning to end right foot then left.
