After I drop #1 Son off at school to pick up his report card I'm going to meet a client to give her summer program. If I get away in time I'm going go do BodyPump, then home to see the wonders & horrors my son brings home on that little sheet of paper. After that I'll tackle, finally, some heavy duty housework. My house is a disaster & w/ company coming tomorrow I've got my work cut out for me.

Breakfast: probably oatmeal w/ fresh fruit; jasmine-green tea

Lunch: leftover salad; spiced V-8

Supper: grilled asparagus; ww-veggie wrap

Snacks: fresh fruit; frozen soy dessert; popcorn

i've been here, posting! you must have skimmed through my posts ;)

i guess i don't have as much to say as usual - i haven't really been much into working out lately, i've spent most of my free time either doing skateboarding-related things or playing Star Wars Battlefront. i got new wheels for my skateboard (they are bigger and softer than any sold at the skate shop where i bought my board) and learned how to take off and put on skateboard wheels.

oh, did i tell you all that it turns out that my new skateboarding friend broke her elbow when we were skating together last saturday? i'm really bummed about that, both because i feel bad for her (and a bit guilty about it) and because it reminds me that i could be next in breaking something. although i'm sure it didn't help that she wasn't wearing elbow pads. i think when i get a chance, i'm going to practice falling on the grass, so that i automatically fall correctly - that's how you get hurt skateboarding, when you put your arms out to break your fall instead of absorb the impact with your butt and torso and roll with the momentum. i rented a "learn to skateboard" dvd from netflix and the pro skaters in the video were so great at falling - always on their backs or butts. i think it can become second nature if you do it enough.

my new skateboarding friend "H" and T and i are going to Tony Hawk's Boom Boom Huck Jam next week, and i'm pretty excited about that.

no kidding that accidents can happen at any time, especially when you are clumsy like me - the worst "skateboarding" injury i've gotten so far was when i was pulling on an elbow pad and my fingers slipped and i punched myself REALLY HARD in the mouth and gave myself a fat lip!!! (which is coincidentally very similar to how T stabbed himself in the wrist with garden clippers requiring stitches... the moral of the story is, be careful when pulling hard on things that your hand doesn't spring loose suddenly!)
