take them to the iwo jima monument to see the fireworks from across the river - there will still be a lot of people, but not nearly as bad as the mall, and you won't have to sit
Well, looks like I will not get in a workout today either (babysitting from 11:30 to 6)- I've spent all morning running to campus and back and on the phone trying to figure out where the hell my loan is for next year, and how to consolidate it all since rates are going up this summer. Luckily, the loan is not on the computer yet, because it won't be there til next week, and since the school has my FAFSA, I should be all set. However, the Student Loan company thing is not answering my calls- I keep getting a recorded message saying there's a lot of caller volume- has anyone heard of putting me on Hold!!?!? Instead, it just hangs up! I didn't even find out about this deadline for consolidation until my best friend mentioned it on Tuesday! And the deadline is today!!!! WTF?!?!?!?!? And tonight, she and I are FINALLY finishing her damn invitations- she's cancelled on me two nights in a row (plus, lunch on Friday), leaving my schedule all messed up. Though last night I did go over to Sportrock, sign up for the rest of the Quick-Start program, and took my belay test. The third and last class is on Saturday- now to find a climbing partner...
Food- ww toast w/ apricot preserves, soy milk
Lunch- soy pita w/ham, cheese, lettuce and olive hummus. Carrots on the side
Update: after reading Jean's rant earlier & thinking about the reality check I mentioned I needed in my reponse her I'm taking the morning off from being a responsible health nut. I had both a cinnamon roll & a chocolate roll (not those huge ones everyone sells - more like doughnuts & approx. 100 cal. apiece, not that I cared but I noticed when I was checking to see if there were any animal products involved) w/ a coffee for breakfast (still had the bluberries though) AND skipped BodyPump to gab w/ my client for a bit since I won't see her again 'til Sept. I figured taking 2 days off from working out, especially when I've got a ton of housework (and gardening if they rain ever lets up) to keep me active, would actually be a good thing.
Note: The cinnamon roll wasn't as good as I anticipated (not spicy enough and not gooey at all) & I couldn't let go of the fact that I was eating something that was almost entirely white flour, but the choc. roll was pretty good but I've never had choc. anything I didn't like. :-P I know its probably in my head but I feel kind of icky now, how sad is that?!

Dinner- not sure yet.
not much that i do fits with the stereotype of a thirty-something lawyer, including my actual job!
Definitely! My friends said when I had my big fall skiing that my body was probably used to falling from skating and knew how to relax.
