If I'm going to eat processed white flour/sugar like that, it usually has to be worth it.

even dressed for work i don't look the part. today for instance, i'm wearing salmon pink pants, an asymmetrical neckline shirt, and slip-on flats. even when i wear a suit, i don't look like a lawyer. my favorite suit is a pink and white tweedy

Thanks Jean, I'll have to remember that about the allergies. However, my house clean is generally on par w/ other houses when they're a mess. I believe in prioritizing and housework is not high on my list. I hate a messy house BUT I hate housework more & would rather do a class or go to the dog park or to lunch w/ friends/family or even come chat w/ you ladies here. Life is too short to be a neat freak, at least for me - I've got enough other stuff to keep me busy.

I so agree w/ you about bad stuff having to taste good. I absolutely LOVE a proper cinnamon roll - the big, gooey, spicy kind, but I can't find vegan ones to buy & don't have the patience to make them. I gave in today because this one was vegan, but it was along the lines of a glazed yeast doughnut, which I was never fond of. It was wonderfully soft & fresh, but otherwise bland & unsatisfying so now I'm disappointed in myself for the choice. I don't regret the choc. one. Although not exactly fabulous is was tasty & satisfying, white flour & sugary glaze or not. ;-)

You're just going to have to suck it up and fly out here so we can all go to the Sticky Fingers Bakery!

Trader Joes has some really good vegan trail mix cookies and Whole Foods has some good vegan donut holes (somehow deep frying anything can make it taste good!).

Jean,
