Except I don't live in Maryland.

You're right--I was thinking of rice vermicelli.

Nah, it's just at my pace. Right now, I feel too freakish with my drains. I could probably cover them up with a baggy t-shirt relatively well.... and that's probably what I'll do tomorrow when I have to do to the doc's office. He'll hopefully take all or most of them out and that'll make getting around easier. I'm getting around more and more everyday. It's just a matter of being patient and not taking things too fast. :)

I'm starting to get a little restless but trying to hang in there. Took a 90 minute nap and that felt good. I guess my goal is to get out of the house maybe this weekend. I will also have to see how I feel towards the end of week if I want to go back to work next week or not. I'm just taking it day by day. :)

And time passes fast and the rest will do you good. I'd forgotten about the drains--I remember them from breaking my ankle and kept wishing they'd try to keep them as far away from me as possible because I hated looking at them.

Presently, I have 4 drains and even if they only remove 2 or 3 of them, that'll be a lot less to handle. I'm always worried about pulling them out or inadvertantly pressing on them. And you're right, they're gross. As if I don't feel gross enough not being able to maintain my regular standards of hygiene, I have 4 bulbous sacs coming out of my waist that periodically fill up with fluid. Ewwww. :)

Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better. I have backed off on the pain meds without too much trouble and that's given me a clearer head. There's no way I could have worked on my Functional Training CEC's on the Percocet level I was on last week. :) I can see improvements in my mobility everyday and that helps. Although, as things heal, they are starting to itch and it's getting pretty intense. When I go in tomorrow, I'm going to ask if there's anything I can do. I don't know if it's because the sutures are healing but the non-sutured skin itches too and I imagine it's from being zipped up into the garment pretty much 24/7. We're going to wash it tomorrow and that means I'll get to sit around nekkid until it dries and that'll be a welcome break. :)
