this particular sushi place had a lot of vegetable sushi. i got three kinds - one with tempura in it, one with sundried tomatos and avocado, one with asparagus/cucumber/gourd/avocado

pretty much any sushi place will have at least avocado rolls, asparagus rolls, cucumber rolls, and gourd rolls. most also have inari, which is tofu and rice, kinda sweet.

i've tried to cook vietnamese vermicelli and failed too - it's really hard to cook it right!

I think it's a regional thing on having pools.

I grew up in Missouri and we always said "go to the pool" too. Very few people had their own pools and if you did, you were considered rich. :)

In AZ, it's more common to find a house with a pool than a house without one. We had a pool in our last house and I enjoyed it, but I don't miss the maintenance at all. I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to use our new community pool (which is super nice) before swimming season is over but I hope I do. It's a really nice sized pool with lots of great chaises.

Wow, now we're analyzing the whole "pool" issue.

Darn, you know if we analyze yams vs. sweet potatoes, pools or not will be an even bigger issue.

Worse than that, older boats have "heads" (toilets) that empty out below.

This reminds me of the fresh water lake I grew up on, Lake Erie.
