Well, hopefully I'll get in some sort of physical exercise today. Was going to go to the rock-climbing gym last night, but when I went to my car, I had a flat tire :( So I had to wait around for the Auto Rescue guy to come change it, because I don't have the means to jack up the car, nor do I know any men who do- except Wes, but I certainly can't call him!

Breakfast: 2 slices of multigrain toast w/ pb and apricot preserves (not on the same slice)

Lunch: some semblance of a sandwich, rest of the strawberries before they go bad.

Snack: not sure

Dinner: no idea- probably a hot dog (gotta finish them off too) but not sure what to have with it.

the skateboarders crashed a lot. it didn't seem to bother them much. they were wearing pads and helmets, and if they fell, they'd just slide down the ramp on their knees. i think it's more dangerous when the bmx and moto-x riders crash. the host was a bmx guy and he showed off this really nasty scar on his leg, it wasn't even a scar, because it still looked like this gaping wound. it was disgusting. i guess it's a lot more dangerous to fall when you are on a bike with gears and other jutting metal parts. i've seen bmx guys practicing doing tricks off a ramp and landing on a giant foam cushion like a moon bounce - i guess that's one way to practice. but i can't even imagine falling on a motorbike! thank goodness no moto-x guys fell.

but yeah, i can't imagine being the first person to get up on a 45-foot ramp that's never been ridden before and be like "ok, let's see what happens when i ride down this!" - i think doing things like that requires a risk taking mentality that i just never had and never will have. i honestly think you have to be a bit crazy cuckoo bananas.

you should definitely take your son next year - i can't wait until next year, i can't even imagine how are they going to go even bigger next year?!

They must have some high pain threshold because one fall and I'd be done!

I did chest/back this morning and then 45 min spin class. Other than paint my toenails, I've got nothing else planned for this afternoon. Ahhh, summer.

Breakfast: WW wrap, chicken, cheese, spinach; blueberry yogurt
Lunch: california rolls, seaweed salad, amy's veggie loaf dinner
Snacks: veggies & dip, olives, frozen grapes, popcorn
Dinner: cold WW spaghetti and peanut sauce

I am due for a haircut and I'll probably go do that soon. I just wanted to heal a little bit more since I'm not too good at reclining yet and you have to do that to get your hair washed.

A late fall challenge would be great. Although, I'm planning on deciding in September whether I'm going to train for the January Rock n' Roll Half Marathon so that may be my challenge. :)

there weren't any girls. i don't know all the ages, but some of them were older than me. Tony Hawk is 37, and yes he still rides, though not professionally (i mean he doesn't compete), and he is still amazing. he did some tricks last night that the others didn't even try to do.

i'm sure they are used to pain, but i don't think those routine falls hurt much - they know how to fall so they don't get hurt.

there are female professional skateboarders, though the sport is

I wonder why it's so sexist when snowboarding has a lot of girls doing it. Makes me want to teach my daughter!

It's not that I don't know how to change a tire- I don't own the tools to change a tire. And I know no one who does, as I know very few people down here. I'm sure Wes owns them, but as we are broken up, I can't very well call him.
