I was going to try another walk again this morning but I've got some serious soreness in my inner thigh. I don't think it's from walking yesterday but probably from resuming normal sitting/sleeping positions and perhaps stretching the muscle a little farther than it wanted to go.
DH and I got up early to go grocery shopping. It's nice to have food in the house again. No plans today, except to again shower by myself (woo-hoo!) and take my Functional Training test. I also need to do some online shopping too.
I'll take a stab at food but may have to update later:
Breakfast: high protein cereal w/skim milk, chocolate milk
LOL! I said that surprisingly I loved it from the start and that loving it didn't automatically make one good at it. I sucked at the start too and lots and lots and lots and lots of practice made me good at it. Sometimes great, but usually just good and yes sometimes I still suck. ;-)
I was a nervous wreck for about the first two years, then took another few years to really feel consistently confident in my abilities and I still have moments of doubt regularly but I stuck w/ because I love it. Nervousness and finding your style, etc. shouldn't be the difference between liking and loving though. But again I could, and probably am, wrong.
Please excuse any typos as I don't have time to edit. Gotta go.
It's going to be really hard to please everybody with the music. The step class I used to do at the gym had pretty fast techno music that I loved. Then, I went to a different class with a different instructor and it was all oldies. I looked around and realized that I was surrounded by senior citizens. :)
It was SOOOO hot and sticky here today that I just don't feel like moving. I went to the rock climbing gym, because I just joined- though it's quite difficult to do much without a partner. They have 2 auto-belay systems, but one of them is against a wall that's all 5.9 and up, and I'm not that good yet! Plus, it's a little scary being ALL the way up to the top (some of the walls are REALLY tall) and just having to let go and fall to the ground- I mean, it's pretty slow, but I kind of don't like the idea of not having a living person as a belayer! I'm still too chicken to go try the bouldering wall when anyone is around, b/c I'm NOT good at bouldering yet, and I wouldn't want to get in anyone's way! Luckily, the gym does a women's climbing group on Monday nights, so until school starts (I have class on Monday nights this semester) I can go to that and hopefully meet some ladies to climb with.
i do it for the reasons i said - it's better than taking other people's classes or no classes at all, i like having the structure of having a committment
