I know, what a subject line, huh?

Ok, so the old-timers will probably remember I've had problems with my knee/IT band for years now.

Have you thought about using one of those comfort seat covers, the kind that are used for spinning classes?

Have your husband give you a massage there?

i agree about the gel seat and/or padded shorts. also, just patience - your butt gets more used to it over time.

where exactly does it hurt? maybe you aren't sitting on the seat right and/or the seat isn't adjusted correctly for you. it should hurt right on your two "sit bones" not on your "girl parts" or anything like that.

that sounds like it is hurting in the right place. it's not going to hurt on the round part of your butt, it should hurt on your sit bones, which are in the general area you describe - near where your glutes meet your legs somewhat on the inside - can you feel the bones under there?

your seat should be at the height of your hip bone when standing
