isn't that what "toning" supposedly is? turning flabby muscle to toned muscle?


whatever. people should just do ab exercises because it's good to have strong abs.

I think of toning as developing muscles, using weights with higher reps so you're only slightly building muscle.

No one's perfect. ;-) I think she must have just made a poor choice of adjective. I understand 'flab' to be fat whereas she seems to be using it to refer to a weak, soft muscle. I think only weak ab muscles could be misconstrued as 'flabby', since when they're weak they don't make for a strong containing wall for our internal organs so the belly may bulge.
