Good morning! Is it hot and humid where you are? It's going to be another long, hot day.

I found a map of Reston town center:

Cosi's or Starbucks are possibilities for coffee if you have time before.

i've never seen that cosi before, maybe it's new. i usually go to the starbucks, but it's more out of the way than that cosi appears to be. probably i'll just grab coffee as i run in and bring it into my first workshop or get it during the break between the first session ending at 9 and the second one starting at 10. i'm not much of a conversationalist at 7 am in the morning so you aren't missing anything.

as for lunch, i usually bring my lunch (and often supplement it with a smoothie from wrap works). but if you guys want to meet for lunch, we can still sit together if you buy your lunch. there is also a panera right there, and they have good salads and soups.

what are you guys taking Friday? i'm taking Extreme Exercise Makeover at 7, Stripped at 10, lunch at 11:45, Group Stretch at 12:45, step to the rhythm at 2:30, for some reason i've got nothing at 5 pm

There was some kind of glitch for the Friday night classes and people didn't get registered for classes they signed up for.

Can you stop wearing them now?

oh, so that's what happened. i thought i signed up for the hot latin cardio. i'll just get a ticket when i get there, or maybe i'll just bring my skateboard and skate in the parking lot until everyone is ready for dinner. usually i'm exhausted by the last class of the day and leave early anyway.

i've never had a problem parking, i wouldn't worry about it.

I am not required to wear it around the clock but don't know if I could/should stop wearing it altogether. I'm going to my PS this afternoon so I'll ask. I feel a little bit squirrely about clothes touching my sutures and the garment makes me feel a little "safer" in that respect. I also still have some bandages and the garment keeps them from getting ripped off where a pants waist might rub and irritate it. The garment also makes me feel a little bit more secure on my active days like today where I'm getting in and out of the car, working, etc.

I can tighten my abs sort of but I am definitely using them. Sometimes it feels okay, other times it's achy. I think the rectus abdominus is the one that hurts. My obliques seem to be fine.

I'm wondering how tired I'll get by the end, too, esp. ending w/ a ball interval class with a lot of other pretty intense classes during the day. I obviously didn't think that much about how the whole schedule went together--I'm signed up for 3 or 4 BOSU classes!

Hey, you should have had them pierce your bellybutton while they were doing all that!

LOL! Actually, my skin above and below the sutures is relatively numb so I keep joking to my hubby that now is the time to go and get my lower back tattoo. :)

As far as I know, these sutures will dissolve into the skin. They aren't really sticking out or anything, but I'm concerned that if fabric were rubbing against them, it would be uncomfortable. On top of that, there's new pink skin at the suture sites and it's pretty tender.

Yep, I got my other drain out last Monday so I've been drain free for a good week and a half. Sure makes getting dressed and showering a whole lot easier.
