Hello Ladies:
I am new here and I don't know where else to turn. I am getting married in 30 days and I have been faithfully going to the gym 5 days per week 6 hrs of cardio per week, lifting weights, step aerobics and........... I have changed my eating habits eliminated sweets, eating more protein all cahnge s for the good but I can't see any loss. I am 5'7 and the last time I checked 7 weeks ago I weighed 159..... My husband to be can see the difference but I can't he keeps telling me that I am building muscle, he works out also.
I read yesterday that you should not do cardio and weights together as this is counterproductive. IS this true have I been doing it wrong for the past 5 weeks? Am I not resting enough between workouts? Is it water weight, I drink a gallon of water a day? Should I start taking a fat burner supplement? Then I became mortified when I read that I should avaoid the hip abductor and adductor machines as they make your legs wider.... if you are going for depth then squats, lunges and leg curls only.......

Thank you I will try the tracker.... I will continue with doing cardio first....... I am taking today off no working out...... I have noticed that it feel as if I walking around with a stick up my @$$ or sticking my but out........ I will change me rountine up and I just received the SOuth Beach diet recipes.... I am going to try the eating plan for Phase 1 which eliminates all furit, veggies, starch, sugards to diminish cravings.......

I took yoour davice and switched between the cardio and weight machines..... I do the weight machines first have totally stoped using the hip abductor and adductor machines, I heard these make your thights wide and I want depth.......... This will be day 4 of interval training and I have been using the south beach diet phase 1 ( I am on day 4) I have noticed a little change....... I need to know what are some good exercise to give me a rock hard butt and bring my upper thigh in....... I am doing squats started this week with 70 lbs (using machine) I am doing the butt blaster (50lbs) leg curls and leg extension........ it's the weight just below my waist and above my hips on the side that is ddriving me craziest it sticks out... I wounder if that is from me using the ab/adductor machines?
Would love to hear your thoughts.
I don't think the weight on your sides would be from the adductor/abductor machine but since you've stopped using it, if it is muscle, it should get smaller.
Thnak you Jean yes making th upper thigh smaller... I will conitnue with the squats, I read reverse lunges are the best so tonight I will do them as well as run tonight
