That is so awful. :( I was going to ask how it went, but didn't want to be nosy. I give you credit for just going ahead with it without the medication. It was a brave decision and I don't blame you one bit for just getting to get it over with. I hope you're recovering alright today.

i'm sorry you had such a terrible experience! i've had some pretty horrible medical procedures so i can relate to how awful that must have been. i'm surprised you didn't cry! i'm glad everything checked out ok.

for what it's worth you had a particularly bad experience -- most people don't have to go through anything like that and shouldn't be discouraged from getting colonoscopies. (just a little public service announcement here!) not to mention that they can save your life and i'm sure you would have thought it worth even that terrible experience if it had turned out to mean it saved your life.
