Since I turned 31 I've noticed a change. I've always been slim, but I've developed a little belly that I can't get rid of. I've been doing situps, but nothing so far. Any other ideas of how to get a flat stomach?

Sometimes as we get older the deep muscle fibers in our abs get weak allowing it just to hang out (sorry , I don't know the technical terms). So, doing exercises that firm up the deep fibers can help your stomach to be tighter and not stick out. I know doing abdominal exercises and kegels at the same time is one way. I think (not sure) pilates has some good exercises. I bet the people on this board have some great ideas too.

Millcreek makes a good point about diet. as we get older we process sugar differently which could be a culprit for a larger mid-section. Sugars, including pasta and white bread, can be taking a toll on your body unlike it used to.
