That sounds like my kind of weekend! I've never had the pleasure of attending a conference like that, although the IDEA convention is supposed to be a lot of fun as well.
If it's at all possible, I'd love to come next year. :)
Jean!
I came into the kickboxing class on Sunday. I took the other 2 that Guillermo and Janis taught! I don't know how I missed that on the schedule you sent me. I had signed up for the yoga/pilates fusion on the ball, but had enjoyed Janis and Guillermo so much Saturday, I couldn't stand it. I left the yoga early and came in to watch.
How did you like that kickboxing? I love them!! Their energy level is awesome!!
There was another Melissa????? from WV?
I completely forgot about coming to the Dynamix booth. At 9, we'd go to Panera Bread for our breakfast bagel.
Oh my gosh! They're energy level is awesome! You didn't have that on your schedule you sent me, did you?
I came in had black yoga pants on and a green jacket, sat right in front , if you are facing the stage, to the right! I came in around 11am.
The martial fusion class that Guillermo did Saturday kicked my butt! The combo he did was so great. Their classes were the best that I took. There was too much to choose from, and I looked at my cd rom, and after looking at the notes from everything, there are so many I wish I had taken. I didn't do any step classes.
I took one lecture. Look Good in Your Genes, and it was pretty good and informative.
Oh, I think she was from Lost Creek, WV.
i'm glad to have someone back me up on my enthusiasm as to how much DCAC rocks and you all NEED TO COME next year.
i just got back from teaching my cardio kickboxing class and i've totally revamped it based on shannon's kickboxing workshop and i'm so psyched about it. i had two people in class, one very experienced, one brand new to kickboxing and i actually managed to give both of them a safe, fun, successful workout - i learned SO much this weekend.
my favorite new toy of the year - gliding discs! i'm going to bring some paper plates into class and try them out.
in addition to gliding and kickboxing, my other favorites were 4-step - awesome! also, BOSU team circuit and BOSU sports training. i had a great class based on Balletone, which i had never even really heard of before, but i really liked it. i loved Rob Glick's step classes and hi/lo class, though the second step class i took with him (last class of the weekend) i was just too tired and i pooped out for the last segment and just watched - jean kicked butt in that class though, she definitely outlasted me this whole weekend for sure.
if money grew on trees, i'd love to get certified in balletone and in using targets and pads for kickboxing and i'd buy a set of gliding discs for my gym. and i'd hire Rob Glick, Marcus Irwin, and Rebecca Small to be the step instructors at my gym. ok, now we are just talking fantasy land!
Oh my yes, I am sore! Everywhere!!! I also did the weight on resist a ball, and I liked it really well.
I did everything except 2 classes all the way through. I would have liked the yoga pilates fusion on the ball, except I knew I was missing something with Janis and Guillermo. I bailed and snuck in to watch.
I wish I had taken Janis's cardio ball class, because no one really uses the balls at the gym, and I am trying.
I didn't do the Saturday step kickbox--is that what you were talking about?
