Starting fitness regime again. Tips?

Hi guys!
new to this board, looking to start my fitness routine up again. I no longer go to the gym, but am looking for alternatives to do at home, as well as outdoors for now. I am thinking about taking up running, but have no idea where to start, what to know beforehand outdoor wise. :)
I am also looking for any reccomendations on fitness videos for cardio, and how i could best incorporate that with Yoga/Pilates during the week at home? I have a set of free weights that i use a few times during the week, with some exercises i have from magazines and stuff. Are there any good links i could check out for exercise moves, proper techniques, etc?
my lower body is my main goal, to tone/minimize.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
