It premiered last night on FX and it's very funny. It's a show about people with eating disorders and the support group they attend. Obviously, eating disorders are not funny but this show deals with them in a very clever and funny way. I've dealt with this issue both personally and professionally but I have a sense of humor about it. :) Others may feel differently... Either way, it's worth a watch. There aren't that many smart comedies out there.

I saw an interview with the writer/director/star of it.

I think smart comedies often catch a lot of flak for the simple fact that they're written about serious topics and that's so often what makes them "smart."

I read a similar article about the creator. I don't think there's any way you could do a show like this WITHOUT having personal experience.

If you catch it, let me know what you think. I thought it was wickedly funny and am looking forward to the next episode. There's another show that comes on after it called "It's always sunny in Philadelphia" and that was pretty funny as well.

I watched and I liked the back and forth between the characters. Especially the men with the eating disorders and how they view woman...the one character who thought the 5'7 woman was fat because she weighed 140, which is perfect for someone who is that tall. But for the weak stomach people like me....I saw the cop purging and had to change the channel. I cannot watch someone make themselves throw up like that...yuck.
