My abs are on fire from the balance training yesterday, so I'm going to just do Pilates this morning. Then I have an appointment with the psychiatrist. Afterwards, I'm going to get the oil changed in my car and while that is being done, I'll hop across the street to the health food grocery store and look around.
Jean, do you have another address that I can resend the email from yesterday?
I'm getting around more now, just listening to my body. Doctor says I still need to be on bedrest, but I feel like an extremely short walk with the kiddos is not going to hurt me, I believe it is going to make me feel better. And it does. Getting out and talking to people puts me in a better mood too.
Trained a few clients this morning and did chest/shoulders/triceps. I'm going back again this afternoon for step class and one more client.
Breakfast: egg scramble, grapes
Snack: protein shake
Lunch: herbed chicken, veggies, protein pudding
Snack: cottage cheese, dried fruit
Dinner: black bean and tofu burrito, veggies, ?
What's up with work... we are supposed to get paid today but we will not be because supposedly our payroll person is sick. I think this is another stall tactic from the owner as we use a payroll company and if our rep is sick, they should get someone else. You just cannot be screwing around with peoples' livelihoods like that. I have unofficially resigned. I told my boss this morning that Thursday is probably my last day unless they can cough up a paycheck that I can actually cash. I'm not sure what'll happen with my clients... I'll deal with that at the end of the week, I guess. My boss told me she hasn't been able to get ahold of the owner in three days and she herself has not been paid in six weeks. She is actually looking to open up a PT studio near me and that would be fantastic if it actually goes through. Either way though, gym or no gym, PT studio or no PT studio, I've made enough friends in the business and I have a good enough reputation that I think I'll be okay.
hi, i'm back. i did no exercise today - sat on a plane all day. we had fun in san francisco. surfing was great - i can't believe i went in that cold water, and it was SO cold outside too - it was in the low sixties, foggy, and windy. but i was able to catch a wave all on my own, picked out the wave, decided when to start paddling, the whole nine yards. so that was awesome. not only can i now go out surfing on my own without an instructor, i accomplished one of my goals for the year. that makes me feel a lot better about my lack of success dropping in on the skate ramp last weekend, which is another one of my goals for the year, but it's not looking like will happen.
i got so cold that i didn't even care that i was cold anymore. i think once you get hypothermic and your core temperature goes down you actually don't feel cold anymore. i'd be shivering, but i didn't feel cold. it was weird. i decided that if i could handle that, i could handle snowboarding and T and i decided to take a lesson this winter.
friday we went to san jose to meet up with T's friends whose band was playing at the San Jose State University basketball center opening up for The Used. it was great to see those guys and see them play, and it was cool to be backstage at a big rock show like that. it was interesting to see what goes on backstage and how different it is than the clubs our friends' bands usually play. another one of the bands that played was this band led by jared leto the actor. i remember him most from my so-called life, remember that show? the girls went wild for him. the whole experience was fun.
