we are in our living room all the time. for one thing it's where our only tv is, and our tivo, etc. too. pretty much every night you can find me, T, the cat and the dog, all laying around together in one corner of the living room.

in these older houses, the living rooms are much more livable. they don't have "family rooms" which is where people end up spending all their time in newer (post 1950s) houses.

When my parents lived in Illinois, about 2 years ago, their entire house was decorated in blue & white for Penn State but it could have easily been for

my high school colors were worse than that - black and a golden yellow. we looked like bumble bees.

That sounds nice!

We had livingrooms when I was growing up, and I remember at Christmas time sitting in there just looking at the Christmas tree lights. Like you said, there was no tv or messes to distract from just relaxing.

My living room is pretty but in terms of cost/use it's the highest.
