What do you usually bring to pot luck events?

How about your baked zucchini that you posted below?

For the large group, how about a salad? You could do a large spinach salad or a ceasar salad.

For the smaller group, how about banana bread? I have a great healthy recipe if you want it.

I usually bring some kind of appetizer which I buy frozen from the grocery store or specialty store and then either heat it up at the party or pre-cook it and warm it up at the party. Our favorite is swedish meatballs. We bring some toothpicks and both children and adults love them. I don't know how health conscious it is but our friends are not all that worried about those kinds of things.

I like to bring healthy things to potlucks to make sure there is something healthy for me to eat in case everything else turns out to be junk.

I want to bring something healthy, easy, and cheap.

It's hard to be social without food. When we get together with family, it's always centered around a meal. Our supper club is entirely about eating... :P Which, otherwise means it wouldn't be a supper club. As much as I hate getting off track, I don't want to be a prisoner to my diet either. I do my best to just plan for it and enjoy myself.

We just had a potluck party this weekend with a ton of kids. The kids tore up the veggie platter! I had to fight for a carrot, it was crazy.

I just remembered...

At my shower my friend made poured pureed (sp?) raspberries over cream cheese and set out some ritz crackers. It was awesome! Not to mention I think she used frozen raspberries so it was probably really cheap.

I use basic recipes for the breads/muffins.
