Okay, as you know I have 2 weeks left and no name. With everybody here being from different places and backgrounds I thought you guys might help me find a name. So...

I am having a boy. My other children's names are Faith and Christian. We don't like the common Biblical names (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John...).

Any ideas?

I liked Tia but thought it was too short for a regular name so we'd use it as a nickname.

I liked Asher too, but dh didn't. I like Gabriel (Gabe), but dh kept saying gay Gabe. He is a guy so he keeps comming up with ways to make fun of names. My mother can't say Z so we can't call the kid zach or else my mom will call him sack and that just sounds bad.

This is so hard!

my dad liked Zeke too, but dh called him "geek."

I've come up with some uncommon names, actually names i've made up. My favorite so far is Cross. Dh likes it, but he isn't sure about it because it isn't a real name. Yesterday I suggested Fisher (as in "fisher of men", and Titan's coach Jeff Fisher), Dh liked it, but I'm not sure I do. Then there was Carpenter since Jesus was a carpenter. I also said Gracen (like Grayson), which is like Grace only boyish. Dh thinks it is too feminine.

Have you come up with anything yet?

We went to Back to School night for my daughter's class yesterday.

I hope you and your dh didn't decide on Cross.

Do you just dislike common Biblical names, or all Biblical names? Some less common Biblical names that I like are Caleb, Uriah, Gideon, and Jethro. Other boy names I like are Gavin, Jared, Quentin, and Colin.
