A few of us have had aches and pains lately--how are you all doing?

I pretty much feel like my gymrat self again. I do take care with my abs still though. We did a lot of planks and cobras in yoga yesterday and I'm just very cautious with them. My abs are definitely getting better, but I'm hesitant to push too hard. I'm not currently doing any ab-specific work at the moment. I figure there's plenty of time for that and yoga will assist too.

My back is hurtin' today. :P It's not too bad, but it's that defined hurt where if I stretch, I feel like I can feel every single little muscle in my back. It's a good hurt - thanks Yoga Flow. :)

Nope, they avoid absolutes and specific dates as much as possible since recovery times are so variable. He did seem rather surprised that I had pretty much resumed all my regular activities when I saw him a few weeks ago. I don't go back until Halloween and I think we're doing pictures then too. I just finished writing my last surgery diary and that should be published next week.

I wasn't on this list but figured I would update you on my aches and pains anyway. I have been getting physio for my hip for over a month now. Many months ago I started to have quite a bit of pain in my right hip crest area which has restricted my flexibility and mobility while doing both yoga and tkd. My yoga instructor is a physiotherapist so I have been seeing him and doing exercises to try and balance out my hips and hopefully solve the pain problem. Neither him or my massage therapist can figure out exactly what is wrong. It is very frustrating as it is just not going away. At this point, I am not willing to stop doing tkd since once I get pregnant, I will have to stop anyway. So I continue to work around it and do my exercises so that I will be more balanced in terms of strength and flexibility on both sides.

My achilles still hurts a LOT going up and down stairs. Walking is not too bad.

Thanks--I wanted everyone to jump in and knew I'd be forgetting people.

Are you planning to see your doctor? (Leave it to me to ask since I NEVER go to the doctor!).

Oh no--could it be related to TOM?

It really hasn't gotten any better since physio started. Some days are better than others but it is always there. I have had other pains like that which have just gone away but this appears to be a real injury caused by overuse or something. My biggest fear is that it is joint related as my mother has severe arthritis in her hips. My physio says that this is probably part of it but that with the proper exercises I can hold that off.

My daughter is going to be two in a month, which is unbelievable. I am getting anxious to get pregnant again although that desperation factor has not set in yet, like with my first pregnancy. Give it a couple of months and I will be taking my temp every morning again, haha.
