i'm here. i'm debating going to a lunch with co-workers or going to the gym. i normally would be happy to blow off the gym, but i want to avoid the lunch, plus i'm not hungry now anyway. so i guess i'll go to the gym. and what i SHOULD do at the gym is lift weights, so that's what i'll do. ick.
i also have yoga tonight.
food- i'm going to get something yummy for lunch as a reward for lifting weights. some kind of wrap and a smoothie. dinner will probably be thai soup with added veggies if it's still rainy out. soup weather is definitely here! i'm even wearing knee-high boots today, that marks the official start of fall.
they come in like bag/packs like ramen noodles. it's rice noodles, a flavor packet, and a hot oil packet. i usually get them at the co-op, they probably have them at whole foods and they might have them in the "ethnic" section of the regular supermarket. this is what the package looks like: http://www.wellnessgrocer.com/product_info.php?cPath=&products_id=3161
i add a lot of frozen veggies to the water while it's cooking.
Taught Seniors, Half & Half & Weight Training today. Teach a Nutrition course tonight.
Breakfast: multigrain toast w/ Earth Balance; Earl Grey green tea
Meal 2: Clif bar; soy latte
Meal 3: salad of spring greens, red bell pepper, roma tomato & pickled asparagus sprinkled w/ Garlic & Herb Mrs. Dash and some roasted garlic vinaigrette; Earl Grey green tea
Supper: probably a salad of spring greens, red bell pepper and roasted almonds drizzled w/ soy-ginger dressing; chili-garlic noodles w/ tofu
Snacks: pickled asparagus; carrots & roasted garlic hummus; toast; tea
That soy ginger dressing sounds lovely....is it from a bottle or do you have a recipe?
Jean...the house needs a MAJOR paint job, removal of carpets, full kitchen & bathroom reno :) just for starters. We get it whenever my bf's current house sells.
I make the dressing. I can post an approximation of it below later if you like.
I didn't end up having this after all, though. I was on the go non-stop from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. so making salad seemed like too much work that late and my guys had eaten all the chili-garlic noodles. I ended up having leftover ww mac in tofu-veg sauce that I added sundried tomato, capers and garlic-herb Mrs. Dash to.
