Oh, it's good to be home again. DH and I arrived home around lunchtime yesterday. Felt really good to be back in my own place and the kitties were super happy that we were back. I had a cat on me every time I sat down yesterday. :) We still haven't finished doing laundry and unpacking mostly because we came home and collapsed yesterday. I'm still a little tired today.
I've got two clients this afternoon and the remainder of the unpacking and laundry to do. I haven't quite decided if I'm going to strength train or do cardio yet. My leg is healing but I have quite a nasty gash on the lower part of my leg where it turns into the foot. There's a huge scab and I have decided to postpone hiking until that feels a little better.
I'm really thinking about checking out a nearby gym this week - not to work at, but to be a member. I really enjoyed myself at my mom's gym and I've realized I'm kinda tired of working out at home. It works and it's fine, but I miss free weights. If I had any extra room at all, I'd have no problem buying some equipment of my own. But our condo is so small that we purposely pay extra for smaller versions of things like coffeemakers.
Breakfast: peanut butter banana wrap
Snack: soy protein shake
Lunch: turkey wrap w/laughing cow cheese and a few peppers, cottage cheese, apple and peanut butter
I'm back as well. Here's some pictures (mostly food) hehehe http://flickr.com/photos/zorbs/53359463/ I have have HAVE to go grocery shopping, and I am missing the gym terribly.
I went to that wedding on Friday, and after the ceremony we went to the reception and there were a LOT of people crammed into a very small hall, I suddenly could not stomach sitting through the speeches and what not, so bf and I went to downtown Moncton and got drunk at a bar. Saturday we slept in till noon, then did some touristy things, then had more booze and watched hockey at the same bar. Sunday we actually were in 4 provinces - New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, had a layover in Montreal (quebec) and back home in Ontario.
Today I am going to do lower body and around 30-45 min of cardio.
Should I just jump in? It looks like you're posting what you will have today? Or is it what you had Sunday?
In any case - I hope the Raynaud's thing ends up being easily managed. And caramelized onion hummus, Jean??? Wow! Do you just mix caramelized onions in with the chickpeas? I must have that recipe, please! :-)
Today's plan:
Scrambled egg plus one white, with garlic & basil, made with soymilk Orange juice Fruit salad made with kiwi, banana, peach, apple, pomegranate
lunch will probably be quinoa salad w/pom seeds and leftover Swedish baked beans
snack - leftover junk in the oven (soy ground beef, veggies, topped with mashed potatoes)
dinner isn't planned yet - I'm finishing up the book. I seriously want to do this as she has it laid out, to see how it goes for my body and to prove I can follow a plan! *lol*
Since you're pretty flexible as time goes, can you see if the gym has a part time hours membership so you can only use it off hours. If you're mostly using free weights, it seems like that might work and let you save some money. Good to have you back!
Hello, Jean and all! It is scary when a large limb or tree falls. With the wind we have been having, I am surprised we haven't lost anything yet. We have lost plenty in the past. I have Rayaud's too Jean. I have had as long as I can remember. I get it almost all the time...just need the littlest bit of chill. Gloves don't even help. Believe it or not, Raynaud's was one of the reasons that I started to exercise years ago. It is in my family on my father's side. They all have it. The worst place for me is the super markets and in the summer it is
