I'm headed off to try out a step class at the gym. It'll be the first class I've done there. I haven't done step for a few months and I really miss it. Hopefully, it will be a good class.

I've got an appointment this morning to go see the surgeon for "after" pics. Yay. :P More naked photos. Should I want to march into his office and strip off my clothes? Well, I don't wanna. :)

Breakfast: protein shake

Lunch: chicken enchiladas

Snack: carrots and hummus

Dinner: spinach salad, maybe chile relleno casserole

We leave for Hong Kong tomorrow! So I'm packing stuff (mainly toiletries/cosmetics/accessories) and running a few last minute errands. I wanted tonight off work but my boss' mom is here from Hong Kong and she is off in Montreal with her. So I still teach piano, then go to pick up my bf from his house, then we are staying in a hotel near the airport because the flight leaves at 9 tomorrow morning.

I did step class and then upper body this morning.

pre-gym: banana & PB on WW pita
post-gym: blueberry yogurt
lunch: amy's rice bowl & veggie soup
dinner: ????

I will miss you GR's!!! But I will get to work out at the Four Seasons gym which looks very swanky from the pictures my dad took - and holy crap! I just looked at the website...I will have fun there! http://fourseasons.com/hongkong/vacations/fitness_facilities.html

don't do anything I wouldn't do! ;)

Ugh, it's pouring out and it's supposed to thunder and I have to go teach. To top it off, they just changed the instructor in this class because she wasn't getting a lot of people (it was down to two) so with the new instructor, a sub and this weather, I'm wondering how many people will actually show up.

Hope you got out early Millcreek. Just love it when school lets out early.

I subbed at a different gym today. I am getting so many calls again...I love it! It may have been only a body sculpting class, but I work darn hard in them and break out in a sweat. The guy in the class was dripping wet too...LOL! I subbed again yesterday too. For the first time ever, I did the elliptical for 1/2 hour at home afterwards. I did keep the orthodics in and it was fine. Doc said not to wear them doing classes yet which seems silly since I am the most comfortable with them in my gym shoes.

How was the step class? I missed doing step the most too and it is so hard to find a good safe instructor with step.

It was interesting. It was a bunch of older ladies who were really quite friendly. This gym has the teal and black steps with the pink and purple risers. I am used to doing step on the gray steps with the interlocking risers attached to the bottom (reminds me of Legos). This one lady took it upon herself to introduce me as "Kelly, the new girl" to every single person in the class. It was a little obnoxious but I think she meant well. Well, I wasn't sure what level I wanted, so I ended up getting a step and 3 risers. A few of them made comments about the new girl using 3 risers and after that, there was NO WAY I was going to take a riser off and go down to 2. I am way too stubborn for that. :)

I enjoyed the class, but given that I was new and not used to the instructor, her cues, or her choreography, I probably would haven't had a better class using 2 risers. I'll know next time.
